Welcome to Casita Sofia!

Casita Sofia offers campsite accommodation at a low price, with on site cooking facitilies and an option for hiring tents. We have sport climbing courses available which are specifically tailored to your needs. These are run by myself, Sophia Cheng (manager) and well known British climber, Gaz Parry.

The Casita.
Casita Sofia is set amongst picturesque orange and lemon fields in the Gandia region of Costa Blanca. It has a tranquil atmosphere as it is set out of the way from the busy tourist areas. It provides an excellent base from which to access the main Northern climbing areas and benefits from being just a few minutes from the main coastal motorway. The airports in Valencia and Alicante are both an hours drive from the casita.

The amenities.
We are extremely close to all the necessary supermarkets, shops and of course the beach. The closest towns are Oliva and Pego, which contain an array of supermarkets, restaurants, bars and cafes. The larger town of Gandia is a twenty minute drive away with a large carrefour.
There are a number of quiet beaches to choose from, all of which are a short ten minute drive away. Further inland is a natural swimming pool, formed by a spring, alongside a bar and a restauraunt. The pool is hidden away in the village of Font Salada and is a refreshing place to relax after a hot days climbing.

The Climbing
Costa Blanca offers a wide range of excellent bolted routes on limestone rock and caters for all abilities. The best time to come and visit us is during the autmun to spring period, when the weather is cool enough to climb. We are within easy reach of the main crag areas of Gandia, Xalo Valley, Calpe, Benidorm and the northern parts of the Alicante region. Each area offers 6-8 different crags where you can find routes to keep everyone happy for the day.
